Settings and Features You Should Never Disable in WIndows 10
Windows 10 is jam-packed with a
whole range of features that you'll be sure to love so if you have just got
yourself a new fresh installed. Being loaded with so many features that make it
not for everyone thing because of the data it suck especially when you are not
on Wi-Fi network.
It was exciting to see updates
because of how infrequent and dramatic they’d be. However, when Windows 10 was
unveiled to the public in September 2014, that all changed – now over 700
million people have installed Windows 10. After its initial launch, Windows 10
would not only take over as Microsoft’s only operating system, but as an
ongoing project that would receive four major overhauls in the following years.
Because of this reason this made
so many people are disabling some features in Windows 10 in order to help them
manage their bandwidth especially those who are not Wi-Fi network but to be
honest this is not a good idea because a security software alone cannot keep
your computer secure without a secure operating system Installing windows
updates is what make your computer secure.
For this scenario, we made a deep
journey on what you should never disable if you really mean to increase
productivity when using Windows OS.
Windows Updates
Windows Updates are periodic
updates that are released by Microsoft for the purpose on installing on your
operating system. When an operating system is installed, it frequently checks
for critical and minor updates which is essential for making the operating
system secure and function properly. Even though people off it because it sucks
data but sometime it rather be enable than to take off due to reasons I said
above.
It is safe to allow windows
update to get installed automatically. In the past, windows update did have a
reputation of creating problems after installing. But Microsoft did learn from
their mistakes. In recent times there are not much cases of windows update
creating major issues.
If you are still not comfortable
with installing windows update automatically, you can change the windows update
settings to Notify before Installing. This will allow you to check the
available updates before installing.
A security software alone cannot
protect your computer from malicious software’s and hackers. Security holes are
usually present in every software, including the operating system and other
applications in a computer. A hacker or malware programmer use these security
loopholes to gain entrance into the computer and steal information. There are
white hat hackers and security analysts around the globe who are constantly
involved in reporting these threats to Microsoft. Microsoft even pays a bounty
for reporting these threats.
So disabling Windows updates
might not be good idea, think that you don’t have enough data to manage that,
then you can schedule the update until when you are on Wi-Fi
Windows Sync
Keeping your mobile devices in
sync is one of the best ways to help yourself stay productive when
on-the-go! If you use multiple devices –
a laptop, a desktop, a smartphone, a tablet – it’s important to set up your
accounts and tools to sync across all of them.
For example, if you use a virtual notebook, make sure your account is
logged in on each of your devices and is set up to automatically sync. By syncing across devices, you can…
- Reduce digital clutter and minimize saving duplicate copies on portable drives
- Stay productive on-the-go anywhere in the world
- Travel light and avoid packing multiple notebooks or paper files
- Collaborate as a mobile worker and keep up-to-date with team members on project status easily
- Save time having to catch up at the end of the day because you’ve been “in the loop” all along
PC Sync lets you effortlessly
synchronize your important data between computers, so your computers always
have the most up to date files it also allows the user to connect the phone to
a computer with a cable and synchronize calendar and contact information
between the phone and a computer application such as Outlook. So It may sound
odd to disable such a hallmark feature in Windows. Thought this might sometimes
be nightmare to you if you using cheap data to browse.
OneDrive
OneDrive is one of the other
background apps in the Windows 10 that depletes your data in no time. It is
indeed one of the most crucial apps in the Windows 10 OS disabling which can be
a radical step, however, not many of us need it running in the background at
all times. Yes, the One Drive does help you sync your files which make life
simpler. When you have a file in your OneDrive, it's not only easier for you to
get to it, it's also easier for you to let others get to it.
If you use a phone or tablet to
take pictures and video, you can configure it to automatically upload them to
OneDrive. This way your cherished memories will be preserved in the cloud. If
you’re on vacation and you phone is lost or stolen, you can replace the phone,
knowing that your files were already preserved. We have OneDrive clients for
Windows Phone, iOS and Android.
Conclusion
Microsoft Updates preventproblems. Although there are occasions when updates cause a new issue to
appear, generally speaking they “help” more than they “hurt”. Not only do
Microsoft Updates fix known bugs in software and operating systems, but they
plug critical security holes that could drastically affect your security.
Microsoft vulnerabilities are actively exploited in countless viruses, which
could have been easily prevented by maintaining updates.
The most common reason for using
OneDrive is to upload or synchronize your local data to the cloud. This will
give you one extra copy of your documents, pictures and videos, which you could
use if your computer breaks. Remember the 3-2-1 rules: have 3 copies of your
important files, 2 in different media, 1 in another site. For instance, you
could have one copy of your files on your PC, one copy in an external drive and
one copy in OneDrive
Your mode of telling everything in this paragraph is in fact pleasant, all be capable of without difficulty understand it, Thanks a lot.
